With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Jean Lee Smith of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 25, 2025 at the age of 96. She was predeceased by: her parents, Laura Hurley Anderson and Presley DeLony; her siblings, Preston DeLony and Thelma Janice Wilkes; her son-in-law Larry Parker; her husband William Thomas Lee; and her former husband R. C. Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Parker (Jackie Walker) and Sharon Austin (John Austin); her grandchildren, Scott Parker (Sherry), Jennifer Parker (William Goss), Jeff Austin (Melinda Morgan Austin) and Brent Austin (Rachael); her great grandchildren, Nickolas Parker (Aimee Sosbee), Breanna Parker, Brett Bennett, Maria Allen, Jesse Hamm (Michael Robison), Jon Brody Austin, Blakelyn Austin and Evan Austin; and her caregivers, Beth Horton, Jessica Reaves, Hallie Abernathy, Sky Bell, Kaylee Davis, Sailar Grissom and Nikki Watkins.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Morrison Funeral Home - Tuscumbia (825 N Main St, Tuscumbia, AL 35674). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
