Howard; his parents, William Howard and Susan Howard; his brother William; his siblings-in-law, Virginia Howard, Tom and Jean Smith; his son-in-law Rodney Woodruff; his mother-in-law Cary (Eva Barnes); his niece Pam Smith Putman; and his great grandchild Tyler James Howard.

He is survived by : his children, Eddie Howard (Dinah), Carol Thornton (Byron), Nancy Woodruff, Susan Wiginton (Johnny), Janet Jones (Brian), Jimmy Howard and Alice Colagross (Jimmy); his niece Marian Smith Joseph; and his nephew Cary David Smith. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
