We bid farewell to Gene Moore of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 1, 2025 at the age of 79. Gene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his father J. W. Moore; his sons, Brian and Gene Moore Jr.; his siblings, Wayne Moore, Thomas Hairrell, Eugene Cole, Larry Cole and Faye Davis; and his grandson Brandon Keith Pendergrass.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie Moore; his mother Bessie Hairrell; his children, Mary Pendergrass, Sabrina Chaney and Johnny Riddle (Jessica); his siblings, Bill Moore (Debbie), Nancy Hester (Van), Judy Holland (Donald) and Debbie Evans (Kenneth); his grandchildren, Bradley Pendergrass and Brittany Lindley (Chris); and his close friends, Theresa Scruggs and Slick Dickerson. He is also survived by other grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Colbert Memorial Chapel (700 US-43, Tuscumbia, AL 35674). A memorial service was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at the Shoals Memory Gardens.
