It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Cleophus Greene Sr. (Muscle Shoals, Alabama), who passed away on October 23, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleophus Greene and Ida Elizabeth Greene; his wife Dorothy Greene; his grandson Jaheim Greene; his nephews, Timothy Hudson and Bryant Petty, Jr.; his brother-in-law Harold Wilson; his uncle Jury Greene; his aunts, Madeline Haynes and Dera Conwell; his mother-in-law Julia Petty; and his son-in-law Charles Jackson.
He is survived by: his children, Terrasa Jackson, Carl Greene (Dawn) and James Greene, Jr.; his sister Mary Hudson; his grandchildren, Jatasia Greene, Jayvia Greene, Canedra Greene, Jacquess Greene, James Greene, J'Daryus Nance, Martavias Mosley, Jaylen Greene and Jarre Mastin, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Jaheim Greene, Jr., Tylee Greene, Xya Greene, De'Amir Clark, Jayven Nance and Jaydence Nance; his nieces, Kenyetta Hudson and Chandra Hudson; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Johnson (John Paul), Peggy Rhodes, Marsha Petty, Bridgette Phillips (Dewayne), Karen Petty, Anthony Petty and Cleophus Madden. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Trinity Memorial Funeral Home (3935 E 2nd St, Muscle Shoals, AL 35661). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church (408 E Alabama St, Florence, AL 35630). A burial will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at the Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens (2601 Florence Blvd, Florence, AL 35630).
