James leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. James’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carolyn Sue McGee and James Ray McGee, Sr.; and his grandparents, Anna Mae McCarley, Thomas Lynch McCarley, Della Kathleen McGee and James Shannon McGee.

He is survived by: his wife Ann Foster McGee; his son Paul Bryant McGee (Hannah); his sister Kathy McGee Marchese; and his grandson Tyson James McGee.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Colbert Memorial Chapel (700 US-43, Tuscumbia, AL 35674). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
