She is survived by: her children, Sheness Bates (Terrence), Keya Short, Rolanda Goode (Reginald), Remond Goode (Nikki), Lakendra Short (Denarius) and Bradley Short; her siblings, Jessie Mae Cowan (Johnny), Charles Goodloe, William Goodloe, Robert Goodloe (Patricia), Roland Goodloe (Merita), Simon Goodloe (Virginia) and Empsie Goodloe (Monita); her grandchildren, Jaidah of Makayla, TJ, Bailie, Zane, Haley, Braedon, Jazlynn, Arnie, Rylee, Bra'Dajah, Brayla, Leilah and Kacen; and her close friends, Carolyn Hughes and Nora Williams. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Viewing was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Trinity Memorial Funeral Home (3935 E 2nd St, Muscle Shoals, AL 35661). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Missionary Baptist Church (1103 Sterling Blvd, Sheffield, AL 35660). A burial was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at the Oakwood Cemetery- Sheffield (3805 Hatch Blvd, Sheffield, AL 35660).
