Rush T. Reid Obituary

We announce the death of Rush T. Reid of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, who passed away on July 30, 2026, at the age of 83. Rush will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Reid; his parents, Odell Reid and Elizabeth Reid; and his siblings, Robert Reid, Ella Frances Holt, Faye Crabbe and Jessie Mae Miller.

He is survived by: his daughters, Amanda Reid McCreary (Nicky) and Gina Reid (Jared Pond); his brother Dennis Reid; his granddaughters, Kristi Connell (Trey) and Amber Strickland (Josh); and his great grandchildren, Ella Grace, Levi, John Henry and Jake. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
