He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Rutland and Bessie Rutland; and his siblings, Erista, Howard, Jimmy, Tommy Rutland, Olean Nicklas, Frances Hamm, Reba Birdsong and Barbara Prescott.
He is survived by: his daughters, Delanna Renfroe of Nauvoo, Meeka Rutland of Talladega and Janna Benson (John) of Jasper; his grandchildren, Jerica Bagwell (Danny) of Nauvoo, William and Braxton Benson of Jasper; and his brother Roy Rutland of Knoxville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews that loved him and whom he loved, many friends and his church family.
