He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Edward Martin and Frances Givins Martin; his sisters, Sally Ann Martin and Bonnie Martin Pruitt; and his grandparents, Amos Andrew and Zonnie Eunice Britt Martin. He is also survived by several family members and friends.
