He was predeceased by: his parents, Everette Mae Hurst and Esther O'Neal Moseley Hurst; his daughter Stephanie Dawn Kirk; and his brothers, Samuel Hurst, Donald Hurst and Timothy Hurst.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Miller Hurst; his children, Adam Hurst, Theresa Savell (Dwayne), Annesa Holland, Kami Arrington (Jacob) and Monica Jarman (Shannon); his grandchildren, Keilea Miller and Lilly Miller; and his close friend Jesse Stafford. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
