He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ethel M. Benway, Arthur I. Benway and James Ray Alford; and his parents-in-law, Lisa J. Hilyer and William E. Hilyer.
He is survived by: his wife Kelley Lynn Benway of New Brockton, AL; his children, Allie Benway of Daleville, AL, Alexis Benway of Hartford, AL, Brody Benway of New Brockton, AL and Matthew Hogan of New Brockton, AL; his parents, Barbie Alford Cliett (Russell) of Daleville, AL and Arthur M. Benway (Jonna) of Enterprise, AL; his brother Jonathan Benway of Geneva, AL; and his grandmother Pattie Sue Alford. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Searcy Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel (1301 Neal Metcalf Rd, Enterprise, AL 36330). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
