He was predeceased by: his wife Donna K. Mefford; and his parents, W. M. Mefford and Margret E. Mefford. He is survived by: his children, Tina Mefford Maples (Lowell), Marty Mefford (Joyce), Chris Mefford (Ronda) and Andrea Mefford; his stepdaughters, Stephanie Smith and Wendy Smith Haupt; and his brother Gerry Mefford. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the New Hope Funeral Home (2500 Oak Grove Rd, New Hope, AL 35760). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Hope Funeral Home Chapel (2500 Oak Grove Rd, New Hope, AL 35760). A burial will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Mefford Cemetery (177 Hayden Cemetery Rd, New Hope, AL 35760).
