He was predeceased by: his wife Deborah Smith Gray; his brother Jerry Gray; his mother Johnie Gray; his aunt Gladys Roden; and his grandmother Edith "Mubbie" Trull.
He is survived by: his sons, Donald Gray, Jr. (Lindsay), Derek Gray (Ashley) and Dustin Gray (Teddy); his grandchildren, Kenedey (Chandler), Kayden, Vandy, Dustin Jr. and Matilda; his great grandchildren, Walker and Waverly; his sister Vickie Finerty; and his sister-in-law Arlita Pennington (Eugene). He is also survived by step children and step grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the New Hope Funeral Home (2500 Oak Grove Rd, New Hope, AL 35760). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the New Hope Funeral Home Chapel (2500 Oak Grove Rd, New Hope, AL 35760). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hampton Cove Cemetery (Owens Cross Roads, AL 35763).
