She was predeceased by : her husband Robert Murray Maples; her parents, Donnie Jones and Frank Ashby; and her siblings, Geneva Benson, Dorothy Crabtree and John Spray.

She is survived by : her daughter Cindy Saylor (Russell); her grandson Keith Maples; her daughter-in-law Teresa Maples; her grandchildren, Ashlyn Spruiell (Dustin), Haley Smith (Bennett), Seth Maples (Paige) and Brad Saylor; her great grandchildren, Emily Grace Spruiell, Greyson Smith, Lillian Smith and Mason Maples; and her sister Bobbie Rodiminsky.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Children's Hospital of Alabama: Cardiac Care Unit or St Jude's Children Hospital.
