Pruitt of New Hope, Alabama, born in Scottsboro, Alabama, who passed away on January 2, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Pruitt Jr.; her daughter Angela Pruitt Henson; her parents, William Dewey Gwathney and Lydia Lucille Gwathney; and her siblings, Rita Joyce Justice, Mildred Louise Marler, Richard Gwathney, Ralph Gwathney and Jimmy Gwathney.
She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Cunningham (Eddie), Doug Pruitt (Kathy) and Charles Darin Pruitt; her grandchildren, Jessica Gurley, Matthew Henson, Heath Cunningham (Ashlyn), Haley Seals (Zach), C. J. Pruitt and Brandon Pruitt; her great grandchildren, Dakota Woods and Charlotte Seals; and her siblings, Barbara Mefford, Sherry Lyons (Ted) and Alvie Gwathney. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
