He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Hobart and Naomi Dixon Horton; his daughter Natalie May; and his siblings, Charlene Hollis, Ronald Horton and Ralph Horton.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Hunt Horton of New Hope, Alabama; his sons, Tommy Kevin Horton (Vicki) of New Hope and Brittnea Horton (Larinda) of Smiths Station, Alabama; his son-in-law David May of Starkville, Mississippi; his grandchildren, Ellen Deasy (Chad), Kenton Horton, Jacob Horton, James May, Will May (Maggie), Grace Creager (Ethan), Faith Torres (Adam), Ellie Horton, Samuel Horton and Bethany Horton; his great grandchildren, Addison and Dakota Deasy; and his siblings, Jeanette Calton, Delia Kelly, Shelia Vencion, Doris Brewer, Joyce Ray, Nathaniel Horton, Billy Horton and Robert Horton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Twickenham Church of Christ (7500 Whitesburg Dr, Huntsville, AL 35802). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 18th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
