It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vesta Lee Baker of New Hope, Alabama, who passed away on December 23, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Violet Brockway and Herbert Brockway; her husband James Baker; her daughter Charlotte Garrison; her children-in-law, Trent Garrison and Susan Baker; and her siblings, Estelle Phillips, Geraldine Brockway and Elmer McBride.
She is survived by: her son David Baker; her grandchildren, Dixie Garrison, Adam Garrison (Jennifer), Nathaniel Baker (Stefanie) and Andrea Etheredge (Jake); her great grandchildren, Abbi Baker, Gabe Etheredge, Blake Baker, Haley Garrison, Maggie Etheredge, Logan Garrison, Sophie Etheredge and Janna Beth Parker; and her sisters, Barbara Heindricks and Carol Ford. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
