He was predeceased by: his parents, David Bartley Jacks, Jr. and Katherine Neely Jacks; his grandparents, David Bartley Jacks, Sr., Hulda Kennedy Jacks, Otis M. Neely and Leona Frances Bragg Neely; his brother Harvey Neely Jacks; and his son William David "Dave" Jacks.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Lawhorn Jacks; his son Thomas E. Jacks (Tara) of Mandeville, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Kelly Jacks Wallace (Marty) of New Market, Collin Jacks of The Woodlands, David E. Jacks of Mandeville, Louisiana, Clay Jacks of Mandeville, Louisiana and Kate Jacks of Mandeville, Louisiana; his great grandchildren, Emory Wallace and Wyatt William Wallace of New Market; his brother-in-law William E. Lawhorn of Huntsville; and his caregivers, Sherry Martin and Ashley Shankles.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Berryhill Funeral Home (2305 Memorial Pkwy NW, Huntsville, AL 35810). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Rice Cemetery (4809 Winchester Rd, New Market, AL 35761).
