He was predeceased by: his parents, Essie Honea and Ethia Honea (Wright); and his siblings, Raymond Honea, Madillon Swafford, Edith Harris, Loy Morris, Joyce Thompson and Carl Honea.
He is survived by: his wife Naomi Honea; his sons, Randall Honea, Jerry Honea (Alisa), Terry Honea and Jay Honea (Susan); and his grandchildren, Candace Burgess (Will), Seth Honea (Raylee), Brandon Honea (Alyssa) and Britney King. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hazel Green Funeral Home (13921 US-231, Hazel Green, AL 35750). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Union Grove Baptist Church (1498 Butler Rd, New Market, AL 35761).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mr. Honea's memory to Union Grove Baptist Church; 1498 Butler Road; New Market, AL 35761.
