He is survived by: his significant other Tina Williams; his children, Scott Johnson and Paige Pierce; his grandchildren, Hunter Williams and Katie Mac Williams; his siblings, Margie Cosper, Judy Meadows, Jane Lipham, Jack Johnson, Barry Johnson and Alex Ortega; and his parents, Wiley B. Johnson and Marie Williamson Johnson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Benefield Funeral Chapel (17624 US-431, Wedowee, AL 36278). A burial was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at the Union Baptist Cemetery (7645 Old Hwy 431, Newell, AL 36280).
