He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Frank Watson and Bennie Mae Golden Watson; his granddaughter Jennifer Nicole Watson; and his siblings, Nancy Keen, Eileen Price, Mary Lou Holton, Mary Judah, Bobby Gene Watson, James Howard Watson, Samuel Junior Watson and Thomas J. "Tom" Watson.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Rachel Watson; his sons, Daniel Watson (Brenda) of Newton and Timothy Watson (Stephanie) of Newton; his brother Billy Gene Watson (Mary); his grandchildren, Kyle, Brandi, Terry, Tanya, Melanie, Mandy, Melinda and Bubba; and his great grandchildren, Maci, Arial, Marty, Madyson, Kadden of Aaliyah, D. J., Lauren, Rea, Brandon, Bradon, Aubrie, Devin, Kaitlynn, Anthony, Trevor, Damon and Alaih. He is also survived by fifteen great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel (508 Faust Ave, Ozark, AL 36360). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
