It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bobby Gene Bankston of Newton, Alabama, born in Dothan, Alabama, who passed away on January 1, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Bankston and Pauline Hanners Bankston; and his brothers, Earl Bankston, Bill Bankston and Joe Bankston.
He is survived by: his wife Joette Bankston; his son Lucas Bankston (Whitney); and his grandchildren, Austin Barefield, Gracie Barefield and Tucker Bankston. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
