He was predeceased by: his wife Ann Bowers; and his sisters, Elaine Pazdel and Vernice Fletcher. He is survived by: his children, Ginger Schneider of New Brockton, AL, Tracy Driggers (Michael) of Samson, AL and Shane Bowers (Kristina) of Navarre, FL; and his grandchildren, Tony Fulmer, Blake Fulmer, Kade Hutto, Colby Hutto and Lauren Bowers. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, and his best friend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CSM Bennie G. Adkins State Veterans Home, 552 Veterans Parkway, Enterprise, AL 36330.
