She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Thomas and Josephine McDuffy Thomas; her children, Brenda Smith, Cheryl Smith and Daryl Smith; her grandchildren, Tracy Runnels, Kelly Garrison and Jason Smith; and her siblings, Woody Thomas, Charlie Thomas, Bobby Thomas, Raymond Thomas, Hazel Rafford, Murlyne Durden and Louise Myrff.
She is survived by: her daughter Karen Lynne Runnels of Newville, Alabama; her sister Patricia Patterson of Haleyville, Alabama; her grandchildren, Lindsey Sentz (George) and Ginny Spivey (Darrin); and her great grandchildren, Zaydee Runnels, Haleigh Bauer and Emaleigh Bauer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
