He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Chandler and Lottie Collins Cargile; his siblings, Ned Collins Cargile, Wayne Chandler Cargile and Lucy Mavis Hightower; and his nephew Philip Chandler Hightower.
He is survived by: his wife Michele Mitchell Cargile "Mickey"; his children, Sheryl Lynn Lockhart (Kevin), Andrew Wayne Cargile (Tina) and Clinton Lewis Cargile (Gillian King); and his grandchildren, Maddie, Melora Cargile, Zoey, Lottie Cargile, Rob and Jordan Lockhart.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mark Church, Hospice of West Alabama, or Easter Seals of West Alabama.
