We announce the death of David E. Clay of Northport, Alabama, who passed away on July 31, 2026, at the age of 95. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Lydia M. Kozee Clay; his sons, Charles Ernest Clay and Ricky Clay; and his siblings, Tom Clay, John Clay, Charles Wesley Clay, Evelyn Stapleton, Carol Conn, Magel Elswick, Ethel Dunagan, Esther Estepp and Mary Clay.
He is survived by: his daughter Julia Denise Clay Fuller (James) of Eutaw; his grandsons, Nathan Walters, David Eric Clay, Patrick Aaron Clay and Scott Walters; his great grandchildren, Ricky Clay, Jared Walters, Jordan Walters, Clay Walters and Savannah Walters; and his sister Shirley Clay Lee.
