He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dewey Carlson and Willie Lou Moye Carlson; and his wife Martha Jean Terry Carlson of Northport. He is survived by: his children, Dr. John Terry Carlson (Emy) and Sara Jean Carlson Cooke (Gary); his grandchildren, Dr. John Terry Carlson Jr. (DeLauné), Christopher Norman Carlson (Mary Laura), Marianne Mims Carlson Pearce (Taylor), Ana Carlson Jordan (Ty) and Andrew Douglas Cooke; his great grandchildren, Adler Ramey Wood, Finley Jean Wood, John Morrow Carlson, Landry Bedford Carlson, Emelyn Mims Pearce, Frank Young Pearce, Carlson Edward Pearce, Wade Norman Carlson and Boone Frederick Carlson; his siblings, Mary Anna Carlson Cannon, Nancy Sue Carlson Kelly and Dr. Allen Bennett Carlson; and his sister-in-law Sara Jo Terry Hosey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
