He was predeceased by : his wife Verna Mae Patterson; his parents, William Perry and Miriam Patterson; and his siblings, Rayburn Patterson, Sim T. Patterson, David Patterson, Clarice Harbin, Juanita Gray, Nell Hixon, Oleta Hays and Carolyn Smith.
He is survived by : his children, Kirk A. Patterson (Susan), Connie L. Hogan and Adriane N. Patterson; and his siblings, Sylvia Beasley and Kendall Patterson (Joy). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
