He was predeceased by: his half-brother Dayton Shepherd, Jr.; and his parents, Dayton Shepherd, Sr. and Mary Abrams Shepherd. He is survived by: his wife Kathy B. Shepherd; his daughters, Amy Shepherd of Buckeye, AZ and Jill Haynes (Shawn) of Concord, NC; his grandchildren, Keara Haynes, Maya Haynes and Landis Haynes; his brother-in-law Dr. Gordon Brion (Kevin); and his pet Bama.
