Shirley Hunter Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Hunter of Northport, Alabama, who passed away on September 13, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Evie Brown Coker and William Lawrence Coker; and her siblings, Linda C. Lawson and Charles Coker. She is survived by : her husband James Daniel Hunter; her children, Joseph Hunter (Sandra), James Hunter, Jr. (Kelly) and Jennifer H. Tucker (Thomas Burroughs); her grandchildren, Ashley, Ross, Jake, Lauren, Daniel, Nicole, Anna and Laura Beth; her great grandchildren, Kinleigh, Josie, Harper and Sam; and her siblings, Joyce Perkins (Charles), Marilyn Elliott (Bert), Bonnie Lynn, Janice Kincaid (Bill) and Sonny Coker (Brenda). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family requests everyone to please remember that COVID is still a concern and to distance when possible.
