He was predeceased by: his parents, Newt Driver and Alpha Mae Driver of Decatur, Ala.; his sister Evelyn; and his brother-in-law Jack Pearson of Calera, Ala.. He is survived by: his wife Frances Gray Driver; his children, Bethany Driver of East Sussex, England and Robert E. Driver (Shirley) of Northport, Ala.; his siblings, Mavis Richardson (Larry) of Florence, Ala., John Scales, Joseph Lanier, Mark Latham and Don Drasheff; his grandchildren, Leighann Driver and Christopher Driver; his great grandchildren, Braden and Kyleigh Hood of Woodstock, Ala.; and his sisters-in-law, Faye Gray of Talulah Falls, Betty Truitt of Marietta, Pauline Parrish (Jerry) of Thorsby, Ala. and Carolyn Gray of Mason, Texas. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
