She was predeceased by: her husband Roy E. Franklin; her parents, Alma Carey and Allen Carey; and her siblings, A. C., Melvin, Lloyd, Ray Carey, Alta Mae Bolton, Ada Lee Peters, Maizie Murphree and Atha Lee Bolton.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia McLain (Paul) of Cullman and Franklin (Tawana) of Oakman. She is also survived by 3 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Collins-Burke Funeral Home (303 Oak Hill Rd, Jasper, AL 35504). A graveside service was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Pleasantfield Cemetery (4855 Pleasant Field Rd, Parrish, AL 35580).
