It is with sadness that the passing of Betty Mashburn (Ohatchee, Alabama) is shared. Betty, born on July 4, 1936, passed away on October 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James "Pick" Mashburn; her grandsons, Shannon Poe and Cody Mashburn; her great grandchild Bryson Dunaway; her parents, Jesse "Dude" Carden and Nora Mae Carden; and her siblings, Mary and Wilbur Carden.
She is survived by: her children, Janice Poe and Eric Mashburn (Patty); her sister Charlotte Simmons; her grandchildren, Greg Poe (Ashley), Patrick Poe (Aimee), Erica Carter (Kevin), Brittany Dunaway (Brandon) and Shayla Eischstedt; and her great grandchildren, Jaxon Carter, Max Carter, Axel Carter, Branson Dunaway, Logan Abernathy, Owen Abernathy (Makenzie), Charlie Poe and Kayley Mashburn.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mount Olive Baptist Church (2963 Boiling Springs Rd, Ohatchee, AL 36271).
