It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Anna Jean McKee (Oneonta, Alabama), who passed away on April 9, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Gene Roper and Florence Roper; her former life partner Billy M. Hayes; her son Roy Hayes; and her granddaughter Mandy Hayes.

She is survived by : her husband James Neal McKee; her daughter-in-law Susan Hayes; her children, Greg Hayes and Tori Farquhar Taner (Dave); her stepdaughters, Nancy Wilson (Thurman) and BethAnn McKee; and her grandchildren, Roy Hayes, Jr. (Kristy), Jaime Thornburg (Taylor), Katherine McMillian (Michael), Erin Caudel (Todd) and Joshua Hayes (Lindsey). She is also survived by great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (300 3rd Ave E, Oneonta, AL 35121). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Jefferson Memorial Gardens (Jefferson Memorial Gardens Dam, Birmingham, AL 35235).
