She was predeceased by: her husband Garrett Cadden; her parents, Luther Smith and Myrtle Head; and her siblings, Opal Smith, Carolyn Alexander, Jessie Mae Hutchins, Linda Alonzo, Pauline Wilson, Ed Smith and Ray Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Norma; her son-in-law Doyle Alexander; her grandsons, Ryan and Joseph Alexander; and her siblings, Frances Head (James), Barbara Lynn Smith and Billy Joe Smith (Beverly). She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and a host of special friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 25th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lemley Funeral Chapel (6878 2nd Ave W, Oneonta, AL 35121). The lying in state was held on Sunday, April 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Union Hill Baptist Church (2919 County Hwy 39, Oneonta, AL 35121). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
