He is survived by : his wife Nancy Cook Barnett; his sons, Brad Barnett (Alicia Rouault), David Barnett and Michael Barnett; and his sisters, Sandra Barnett and Betty Ibarra (Adolfo).

The family requests that all that wish to attend the visitation and funeral be mindful of social distancing and to please wear your masks.

Max Raymond wrote a sympathy message

“My deepest sympathy on your loss. I first met Bill in 1975 when he and I shared an apartment with two other guys in Denton, Texas. He was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor. I have a picture of Bill somewhere, escorting a young woman at a church camp, who was confined to a wheel chair due to cerebral palsy. That was the kind of man he was. Sincerely, Max Raymond”
