He is survived by: his wife Sharon Watts Goodwin; his children, Tabitha Bailey (Mark), Shane Goodwin (Lori) and Scott Goodwin (Tracy Tindall); his sister Charlotte Anderton; his grandchildren, Jonathon Chappell, Kristina Marcus, Gabe Goodwin, Courtney Bailey, Clay Bailey and Austin Goodwin; his great grandchildren, Xavier Marcus, Dominic Marcus, Merida Marcus and Zander Marcus; and his nieces and nephews, Deborah Belding, Sonya Sturgill, Jason Godwin, Aaron Goodwin and Max Goodwin.

A burial was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at the Hendrix Missionary Baptist Church (18198 County Hwy 26, Blountsville, AL 35031).
