He was predeceased by: his parents, James Olive "Ollie" Weems and Sue Ellen Weems; his stepmother Jewel; and his siblings, Roger Weems, James Olive Weems, Jr. and Sandra Stewart (Don).
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Weems; his children, Jeremy Weems (Nicole) and Ariel Fountain (Jason); his sister Teresa Weems; and his grandsons, Jacob Weems and Hunter Weems. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Park Avenue Baptist Church (909 Park Ave, Oneonta, AL 35121).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Park Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund, in honor of Donnie's love for his church and his faith.
