She is survived by: her sons, Danny Keith Sims (Regina), Ricky Ray Sims (Cindy) and Michael William Sims (Lisa); and her husband Dan. She is also survived by three sons, she leaves behind seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to veterans organizations such as Disabled American Veterans or Veterans of Foreign Wars—causes close to Glenda's heart through her lifelong support of those who served.
