He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Dupree Tucker and Lydia Black Tucker; his sisters, Mary Frances Tucker, Mildred O'dell Tucker, Nancy Marie Tucker, Carolyn Unice Tucker and Eula Ann Tucker; his wife Betty Tucker; and his children, Terry Tucker, Gwen Self and Debbie Mann.
He is survived by: his siblings, Hayden Tucker, Tommy Tucker and Emily Surrett; his children, Anglea Holden, Kathy Hughes (Danny) and James Brown (Shannon); and his grandchildren, Todd Tucker, Tyler Tucker, Teia Bowman, Corey Tucker, Chris Glenn and Trey McDaniel. He is also survived by 11 Great Grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In the 90's, during the time of Betty's mother had Alzheimer's, Betty and Himself were asked to lead an Alzheimer's support group at Jefferson State Community College.
