JoAnn Shea Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn Shea of Oneonta, Alabama, who passed away on October 1, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earle Moses Purdy and William Eugene Purdy; and her brother-in-law Reverend James Barrow. She is survived by: her husband Ronald Shea; her children, Steve Shea (Nicole), Kelley Brown (Larry) and Amy Poole (Kenneth); her grandchildren, Stephen Johnson-Shea, Anna Poole, Luke Tunnell, Ryan Poole, Micheal Shea, Jake Poole and Nina Shea; and her sister Carol Jean Barrow. She is also survived by her niece and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lester Memorial Methodist Church (100 3rd Ave E, Oneonta, AL 35121). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the missions fund at Lester Memorial.
