He was predeceased by: his wife Deborah Fowler Tidwell; his son Brock Tidwell; and his parents, Joe Tidwell and Bill Tidwell. He is survived by: his children, J. Barry Tidwell (Emily), Perry Doty and Alecia Rios; and his grandchildren, Goodwin, Gracie, Brock, Dustin, Chandler and Will.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lemley Funeral Chapel (6878 2nd Ave W, Oneonta, AL 35121). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
