She was predeceased by: her husband Windell H. Murphree; her parents, Melvin Johnson and Ada Smith Johnson; and her siblings, Ralph Johnson, Jack Johnson, James Johnson and Geraldene Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Doty (Percy) and Mike Murphree (Donna); her grandchildren, Stacy Doty, Michelle Doty, Chris Murphree (Patty), Jerry Murphree and Terry Murphree; her brother Jerry Johnson (Sylvia); and her sister-in-law Marline Townsend. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lemley Funeral Chapel (6878 2nd Ave W, Oneonta, AL 35121). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
