He was predeceased by: his parents, Vicente Duarte and Estefana Estrada; his sons, Jeronimo Duarte and Jose Lucio; his grandson Jeronimo Duarte Jr.; and his brothers, Jose Duarte, Martin Duarte and Candelario Duarte.
He is survived by: his children, Rosalio Duarte (San Jose Duarte), Fermin Duarte (Herminia Duarte), Juan Duarte, Rosa Vera (Ascencion Vera), Raul Silva (Norma Silva), Alicia Duarte (Aurelio Garcia), Onesimo Duarte (Marcelina Duarte), Jesus Duarte (Antonia Duarte), Federic Mendez (Maria Mendez), Artemia Guerra (Luis Guerra) and Vidala Bautista Feliciano (Pedro Bautista).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lemley Funeral Chapel (6878 2nd Ave W, Oneonta, AL 35121). The lying in state was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
