He was predeceased by: his wife Wilma Jean Garrett; his parents, Charles W. Garrett and Elizabeth Hudson Garrett; and his brothers, Ronald, Charles and Ralph Garrett.
He is survived by: his children, Barry Garrett, Rena Holloway, Rhonda Gardner and Regina Garrett; his grandchildren, Drew Gardner (Brandy), Reese Gardner (Allisha), Lacey Dobbins (Dylan) and Ean Gardner; and his sister Faye Schrader. He is also survived by 5 Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Blount Memory Cemetery (2215 AL-132, Oneonta, AL 35121).
