With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Moorehouse of Oneonta, Alabama, born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 5, 2024 at the age of 77. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruth Moorehouse to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Sanford H. Landis and Thelma Neff Landis; and her husbands, Ivan Evans and L. Gene Moorehouse. She is survived by : her children, Vicki, Ricky Price of Oneonta, Scott and Mindy Evans of Oneonta; her stepchildren, Michael Moorehouse of Franklin, Jason Moorehouse of Pell City, Alabama and Renee (Gene Webster); her grandchildren, Justin, Ashley, Kaylee Price, Destiny, Matthew, Jace Evans, John Thomas, Adrianna Webster, Hayden Thompson, Christian, James and Eastin Moorehouse; and her siblings, Richard (Linda Landis) and Marian (Marvin Harnish). She is also survived by 2 great grandchildren, several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lemley Funeral Chapel (6878 2nd Ave W, Oneonta, AL 35121). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
