It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Ruth Hilburn of Oneonta, Alabama, who passed away on January 27, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Houston Oliver Hilburn Jr.; her parents, Gertie Sparks Beasley and James Strickland; and her grandparents, D. T. and Elizabeth Sparks.

She is survived by : her children, Danny Oliver Hilburn and Deanna Kay Hilburn; and her siblings, Molly Williams, Glenn Beasley and Joe Beasley. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
