He is survived by: his son Matthew Janssen (Kathrine); his grandchildren, Everett and Audrey Johnson; his foster daughter Celia Meyer (Rob); his brother Erick Johnson (Jill); his sisters-in-law, Wini Johnson, Linda Johnson and Cynthia Nelson; and his daughter-in-law Sarah Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local Parkinson's foundation or to Diversicare of Oneonta, AL in the name of Thomas Johnson.
