He is survived by : his wife Frances Rebecca Wood Reeves; his son Jay Reeves (Beth); his grandson Hank Reeves; his siblings, Allen Reeves (Judy), Kathy Loyd (Michael) and Michael Reeves (Linda); and his siblings-in-law, Jerome Wood and Fern Reeves. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The lying in state was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Oneonta (300 3rd Ave E, Oneonta, AL 35121). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
