He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Tipton; his son Dale Tipton; his parents, John Tipton and Lillie Tipton; and his sister Jean Wilson (James).
He is survived by: his sons, Mike Tipton (Karen) and Brian Tipton (Teresa); his grandchildren, Krissy Taylor (Matt), Kolby Tipton, Matthew Tipton (Molly), Karin Gosnell (Craig) and Chelsea Walker (Schyler); and his great grandchildren, Lily Taylor, Kaiden Tipton, Emma, Anna Taylor, K. J. Gosnell, Kazlyn Gosnell, Emery, Trace Walker, Leo Tipton and Austin Tipton.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lemley Funeral Chapel (6878 2nd Ave W, Oneonta, AL 35121). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
